people work very hard on making films.

No one knows who the people rate the films.
studios wouldn't release films if the rating is to high.
they don't do notes on the films.

South park ( Paramount ) Asked to cuts parts out.
Kevin Smith- If you choose not to accept not to choose the rating you cant market it.

NC17- No children under 17.
The type of rating can change how much money you get. with out a rating your TV advert wouldn't work. Mpaa are set up to favor the studios
Some people would rather have the government to come in and help.
1941- Disney Strike.
1945- Warner Bros strike.
MPAA sensor peoples films and that they shouldn't.
